Location and Current Use

The building is located on Court Street, between coordinates H-3 and G-3 on the Campus map. It is across the same side of Court Street as the Athens County Courthouse, but closer to Union Street. It will be marked as # 25 on the map when that part of the map is next updated.

The building currently houses the Office for Multicultural Student Access and Retention (OMSAR), School of Film, Interdisciplinary Arts, Media Arts and Studies, Women and Gender Studies, and African American Studies.

History of the Building

The building previously housed the Woolworth store, and was vacant for a number of years before being renovated. Space in it has been leased by Ohio University since 2012.
