Undergraduate Theater Programs
The B.F.A. undergraduate programs in the School of Theater prepare students for discipline-focused study oriented toward professional careers in specific fields. As students specialize, there is also the potential for additional minors and certificate programs.
The B.A. is customized to each student’s skills and interests and provides a broad liberal arts foundation. Additionally, as they refine their personal approach to the industry, B.A. majors have the possibility of adding a secondary major or elect to pursue an Honors Tutorial College degree in theater.
Our Productions
The School of Theater is home to a rich spectrum of performance opportunities including full theatrical productions, musical theater cabarets, laboratory shows, and staged readings of new work. Casting auditions that occur once per year are open to any enrolled B.A. or B.F.A. theater major. Productions are conceived, designed and built completely by students who are mentored by faculty, staff and graduate assistants.
Additionally, the School of Theater hosts the Seabury-Quinn Playwrights Festival annually, inviting guest from across the United States to see world premieres of student written work.
