Minoring in Theater
Theater Minor programs
Students who wish to declare a minor in Theater must consult with their major advisor, and receive approval from the College of Fine Arts Dean's office to pursue the program. Explore any area of Theater in combination with your major. If you are business, political science, media studies, English major with an interest in the arts, a Theater minor will help you toward a career goal. Any major can be combined with a minor in Theater if you have the desire.

The School of Theater offers a minor in theater, designed for those students who are majoring in other fields but who wish, in the course of their formal education, to experience work in the theater. The theater minor requires a minimum of 22 hours, with at least 2 courses at the 3000 level or above. You must maintain a 2.0 GPA in the minor.

Stage Management Minor

Explore the Minor
The minor in stage management introduces the student to the craft of stage management and develops techniques in personnel management and leadership. Through both classroom learning and hands-on experience with stage managing a show in the School of Theater, students develop skills in collaboration, communication, process and leadership. The stage management minor requires a minimum of 21 hours. A grade of C (2.0) or better is required in each course.
