The School of Dance celebrates diversity, builds community, and encourages critical dialogue through practice and performance. Our modern dance approach prepares students for bold creative professional careers through a comprehensive foundation in choreography and performance with an understanding of the theory and history of dance. Collaboration through movement and feeling connects our students, working right alongside faculty and visiting artists. The art of movement is in our every breath, but we’re not just dancers; we’re diverse thinkers, researchers, teachers, collaborators – always stretching forever forward.
A newly-created College of Fine Arts faculty and staff leadership award program, established by members of the College’s volunteer Leadership Council, recognizes and rewards excellence among its faculty.
