Tantrum Teens Performance Lab (online)

Facilitated by Tantrum’s Director of Education, Rebecca VerNooy

Ages 14–18
Saturdays, February 6, 13, 20 and 27
Noon–2:00 p.m. ET

Tantrum Theater presents a workshop in writing, acting, and movement that addresses and excavates issues of concern to the participants.  The ensemble will be given writing prompts and improvisational scores to generate new theatrical material (spoken word, monologues, scenes, movement theater, songs).  This is open to any teen interested in using theater as a gateway into self-expression, creative collaboration and challenging societal “norms”.  No experience necessary.  Come with a notebook and an open mind.  The series will culminate in an informal showing of the original work.

Rebecca VerNooy is an Associate Professor of Instruction at Ohio University’s School of Theater. This lab is developed from the workshops she ran as the Intern Director at Ensemble Studio Theater in New York City.

Registration Coming Soon.
