The startlingly prolific Ohio University School of Art professor of Printmaking Melissa Haviland has been working for some years on a series of projects related to porcelain china. Currently, she is engaged in a 3-week residency at Ucross Foundation in Wyoming. She reports "I just finished the third piece in the 'A Host of Options' series. This current piece contains around 1,400 teacup-shaped screen prints that are hung on corsage pins to create a breathing wallpaper."

The first of this series, "A Host of Options (teacup wallpaper)" is currently on view as part of Haviland's two-person show in the University of Wyoming Laramie Visual Art Gallery through December 14th.

Dr. Garrett Field publishes an article in The South Asianist

Jan 8, 2016 Dr. Garrett Field has contributed an article to The South Asianist for a special issue focused on Sri Lanka. The article is entitled "Veiling the Modular: Literary Language and Subjective Nationalism in Sinhala Radio Song of Sri Lanka, 1957-1964." The South Asianist is published by the Centre for South Asian Studies at the University of Edinburgh.
