The Marching 110
“The Most Exciting Band in the Land”
Founded in 1923, the Ohio University Marching Band—nicknamed the "Marching 110"—is internationally recognized for its distinctive marching style and choreographed dance moves. The nickname reflects both the band's original membership of 110 students and the tradition of giving 110% effort in every rehearsal and performance.
Today, the 245-member ensemble has performed at more than 40 NFL halftime shows, three Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, and at New York City's Carnegie Hall. The Marching 110 has also represented Ohio University internationally with performances in Canada, Ireland, Italy, and France.
