The Marching 110
“The Most Exciting Band in the Land”
The 245-member marching band is best known for its unique marching style and choreographed dance moves. Additionally, the Marching 110 has performed at more than 40 NFL halftime shows, at two Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades, and internationally in Canada, Ireland, and Italy.
Nicknamed the “Marching 110” as a reference to the original number of band members, today the number represents the amount of effort (110 percent) expected of each member.
The band consists of the following instrumentation: Clarinets, Alto Saxophones, Tenor Saxophones, Mellophones, Trumpets, Trombones, Baritones, Sousaphones, and Percussion.
Join the Band
The Marching 110 is open to any student enrolled at OHIO. Each member is required to audition for the band every season.
Initial auditions for winds can be completed in advance via video, and an audition clinic on campus is required for percussion. All other auditions are held during training week, one week before the start of fall semester. See your chosen instrument for more audition details.
