Adjunct Professor, Music Therapy
Jessica Fletcher joined the faculty as an adjunct at Ohio University in fall 2017. Ms. Fletcher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in music therapy from Baldwin Wallace College and a Masters degree in music therapy, with a specialization in child and family studies, from Ohio University. Ms. Fletcher completed her internship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Jessica has been board certified and actively practicing as a music therapist since 2012. Ms. Fletcher is the Assistant Director at Central Ohio Music Therapy and serves a variety of populations including children/adolescents in psychiatric care, adults in a hospital setting, and children/families experiencing grief.
Ms. Fletcher is an active presenter at music therapy conferences at the state, regional, and national level. Jessica’s primary research focuses involved using rap/Hip Hop in the music therapy setting. Ms Fletcher currently serves as the Great Lakes Region Representative for the Workforce Development and Retention Committee for the American Music Therapy Association.
