Justin Daering is an award-winning Writer/Director with a decade of experience working in Hollywood on motion pictures small and large. Justin’s short film PROGENY screened at over sixty festivals worldwide and garnered 24 awards, including “Best Sci-Fi” at the San Jose International Film Festival and the “Gold Award for Best Short Film” at Celluloid Screams in Sheffield, UK, before being purchased for distribution on the streaming platform ALTER. His previous film MACBETH: A FURY won the Best Overall Film at the 2018 Shakespeare Film Festival in Stratford on Avon, and received a letter of recognition from Sir Kenneth Branagh. Previously, Justin worked as a Director’s Assistant on the feature films THE ACCOUNTANT and JANE GOT A GUN, and the television series THE AMERICANS and SEVEN SECONDS. He began his work in Hollywood as a set production assistant on the EPK team for such films as TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF MOON, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES, LARRY CROWNE and RANGO. While in Hollywood, Justin also worked as a Director of Photography on independently produced web series, documentaries, and music videos. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Justin produced promotional documentaries for the World Council of Credit Unions, a non-profit organization that works to create sustainable businesses in developing nations by supporting credit union growth so that more financial resources remain within those communities.
