Our Mission

The purpose of Radiology Club is to help train students to become more proficient at reading radiographic images. No matter what specialty of medicine you wish to pursue (family medicine, surgery, OB-GYN, etc.), accurate interpretation of medical imaging is a key component of delivering the best patient care possible. Your patient's life could depend on it. Radiology Club aims to provide its members with the skills necessary to recognize abnormal findings on X-Rays, CT scans, MRIs, and Ultrasound images. Our organization is also committed to helping its members understand the process of becoming a Radiologist. To accomplish this, we invite Radiologists from varying subspecialties to give presentations to our members. These presentations often address questions regarding day-to-day responsibilities, residency pathways, work-life balance, and more. In summary, the Radiology Club at HCOM hopes to prepare its members for PHWC exams, board exams, clinical rotations, and future clinical practice.

The Radiology Club at the Heritage College helps to supplement the education received in the Pathways to Health and Wellness Curriculum by providing additional practice reading radiographic images. This is accomplished via exam study guides, guest speakers, board review sessions and ultrasound skills labs. In addition to providing services to our members, we also hope to provide service to our local community through fundraising events and volunteer activities.
