Strategic Plan
Our 2018-2021 Heritage College Strategic Plan acts as a road map to guide us to critical milestones over the next three years, positioning us for even greater success over the next 10 years.

New Medical Education Facilities in Athens
The Heritage College is working with Ohio University to plan a new $65 million academic home for our Athens campus that will anchor the university’s future Union Street Green.
Osteopathic Heritage Foundation Award
In 2011, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation approved a $105 million award, Vision 2020: Leading the Transformation of Primary Care in Ohio, to transform our college into a nationally prominent institution that trains primary care physicians to serve the rural and underserved areas in Ohio.
Research Strategy
In May 2014, the Heritage College launched a multiplatform initiative to advance its research strategy. The initiative involved gathered data from faculty/staff surveys, focus groups, message boards, strategy planning meetings, and all-faculty forums and led to many significant milestones for the college.
Dublin Campus Master Plan
The OHIO Board of Trustees and the city of Dublin approved the university’s Dublin Framework Plan, which is being incorporated within the city of Dublin’s West Innovation District plan and is designed to “unify the powers of industry, government and academia and set a state and national standard for mixed-use campuses.”

November 26, 2019The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Society of Alumni and Friends has committed $150,000 to the College’s general support fund. In recognition of this gift, the college will name the café space in its new medical education facility in the Society’s honor.Read More
