During the winter break period, students will be required to transition into new temporary assignments if their hall is not open during the break. Open winter break buildings have not yet been identified, but temporary assignments will be in six-person multi-occupancy spaces.
To ensure spaces are cleaned prior to students arriving for the spring semester, winter break residents who will be residing on campus for spring 2024 will be transitioned to their spring assignment on Tuesday, January 9.
If a student staying over the break period needs to relocate to a temporary housing assignment, the new assignment will be communicated by Wednesday, December 13 to their OHIO email account.
Winter Break housing, or interim housing, is available from Saturday, December 16 through Thursday, January 11.
The Winter Break Housing Application will open as of November 1 and is required to reside on campus during the winter break period.
To complete the application, students can visit their Housing Self-Service page, click on the ‘Contracts & Applications’ tab, and select Winter Break Housing Application.
If a student makes a reservation for interim housing over winter break, and no longer needs housing, the student needs to email firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel.
Please note, the Housing office is closed Saturday, December 23 through Monday, January 1.
The cost for winter break housing is $30/night, $125/week, or $400/month and will be charged directly to the student's account after the conclusion of the winter break period.
