Summer Housing & Dining Contract

The 2021 summer session Housing & Dining Services Contract are available online. Please access your Housing Self-Service, log in and select Summer Contract 2217 located under the Contracts/Applications tab.

Summer Housing Accommodations

Students attending classes for the summer will be housed in Read Hall on East Green. If needed and available, students may be assigned to James Hall on West Green.


Summer Housing Calendar

First Summer Session

  • Friday, May 7, 2021
    • Last day to reduce a meal plan for first or full summer session students
    • Residence halls open 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for new first-year and returning students
  • Sunday, May 9, 2021
    • First meal under board plan (dinner) for first summer session at Nelson Court
  • Monday, May 10, 2021
    • First day of first session classes
  • Saturday, May 15, 2021
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
  • Saturday, May 22, 2021
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
  • Saturday, June 26, 2021
    • First summer session only residents must vacate the residence hall by 12:00 PM

Second Summer Session
 

  • Friday, June 25, 2021
    • Residence halls open 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for new students beginning second summer session
  • Sunday, June 27, 2021
    • Residence halls open 12:00 PM for returning students beginning second summer session
    • First meal under board plan (dinner) for second session at Nelson Court
  • Monday, June 28, 2021
    • First day of second session classes
  • Saturday, July 3, 2021
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
  • Saturday, July 10, 2021
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
  • Friday, August 13, 2021
    • Residence hall closes at 8:00 PM for summer school

Refund Schedule

Refunds are made only for students who withdraw from Ohio University or do not attend Ohio University.

  • Prior to Hall Opening - 100%
  • Through 1st Week - 60%
  • Through 2nd Week - 40%
  • Through 3rd Week - No refund

All cancellations must be submitted in writing (e-mail, fax, or regular mail) to the Housing and Residence Life Office.

Students paying for both summer sessions will receive a full refund for the second summer session if cancellation is received by the Housing and Residence Life Office in writing prior to the last business day before the second summer semester classes begin.
