Cognitive Neuroscience

Francis Crick, Nobel prize winning molecular biologist, has stated that "Consciousness is the major unsolved problem in Biology". Cognitive neuroscience weaves together ideas and approaches from psychology, biology and philosophy to better understand the neural basis of consciousness and related processes, such as perception, emotion, language, memory, attention, and decision making, that comprise the mental experience of humans and other vertebrates.
