The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires large employers to offer health insurance to employees who work 30 or more hours per week on average.

Ohio University uses a standard measurement period to determine if part-time or variable-hour employees qualify for coverage. If you meet ACA criteria, you will be contacted by Human Resources regarding your eligibility.

View the ACA Guidelines for more details, definitions, hiring considerations, and more.
