The Performance Management: Foundations and Goal Setting course has been updated to an e-learning course, replacing the previous classroom version of this training.

In support of our vision, and to support each employee’s pursuit of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth, Ohio University has developed a comprehensive framework for professional development called Professional Development Pathways.
Professional Development Pathways provides tools, guidance, and learning opportunities for employees and supervisors who want to invest in talent development and career growth. Through this program, competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors) required for success are clearly defined, specially-designed training and certificate programs add structure and excitement to the development journey, and meaningful development discussions and on-the-job learning experiences are encouraged.
A competency model is an organized collection of knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for great performance. Ohio University’s competency model includes 56 competencies that have been linked to successful performance at OHIO through in-depth conversations with successful University employees.
Professional Development Pathways utilizes Blackboard, a Learning Management System (LMS), to organize, launch, and track employee learning experiences. Employees can participate in e-learning courses, monitor training activities and assignments, and view training history through the LMS.
