Student Affairs Division Partnerships

Types of Partnerships

  • Partnership

A partnership implements division services, events, and/or resources on an ongoing basis for a minimum of two academic years. Partnerships rely upon personnel relationship(s) and communication is sporadic. While the units can share common goals, there is no full operational integration and accountability.

  • Collaboration

A collaboration utilizes division services, events and/or resources on an as-needed or initiative-prompted basis. Communication and relationships are minimal and/or short lived, and usually involve an informal understanding between one individual from division and one individual from the academic unit.

  • Integration

An integration is ongoing and sustainable regardless of personnel, and usually involves coordination of budget. Services, resources and/or staff are built into the infrastructure of both unit operations, and communication and cooperation are formal and consistent. Outcomes are mutually agreed upon and are assessed for improvements continually.
