Egypt@Ohio program welcomes second cohort
July 23, 2019
After the success of the inaugural class of Egypt@Ohio in the summer of 2018, the program has welcomed a new group of six public health scholars from Egypt to Ohio University.
Welcome to the College of Health Sciences and Professions. This is a place where unexpected things happen. A place where students learn and work in an interdisciplinary environment, collaborating on research, care simulations and community outreach. This is a place where students from the School of Nursing engage in health emergency simulations alongside medical school students; where exercise physiology students work alongside physical therapy students in our WellWorks fitness center; and where undergraduate students in Communication Sciences and Disorders partner with research assistants in the Neurolinguistics Laboratory. It’s a place where RN to BSN nursing students and health administrators can earn degrees online through a high-tech program yet still strengthen their passion for personal and proactive care. This is where purposeful lives and brilliant careers begin. Where everything connects.

Dr. Robert Wayner loves to run.
After earning his doctorate in 2008, Wayner traveled to the “running capital of the United States,” Eugene, Oregon, for seven years of clinical practice; he also began researching injuries to runners during this period.
In 2014, Wayner returned to Ohio University after the opportunity to lead OHIO’s Gait Lab/Center for Running Performance, while also teaching and furthering his research, became available.
