International Student and Scholar Services
The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) provides immigration support to international students and visiting scholars at Ohio University.
ISSS contributes to the global mission of Ohio University by providing services and support for the international community. In addition, we collaborate with the greater University community to advance global diversity on campus, to foster transformative intercultural experiences, and to promote the development of global leaders.
ISSS Services
The ISSS team provides many support offerings to the Ohio University international community.

Advising
The ISSS team offers advising for immigration issues, settlement support and personal matters, as needed. You can connect with an advisor through in person and virtual drop-in advising and scheduled appointments, all of which are offered weekly.

Admitted Student and Arrival Guidance
As an admitted international student, you have many important steps to complete prior to and after arriving on campus. Learn more about your next steps, from obtaining a visa and making travel and housing arrangements to familiarizing yourself with campus and University resources.

Orientation
International Student Orientation (ISO) is required for all newly admitted incoming international students. At ISO, you will complete necessary paperwork and learn more about important topics such as OHIO's community standards, academic success, U.S. culture and more.

Faculty and Staff Support
The ISSS team offers multiple resources to help OHIO faculty and staff better understand the rules and regulations of student and scholar visas and learn how to invite an international visitor to campus. Faculty and staff may also request training and/or consultation on individual concerns.

International students and scholars can use iCats, an online portal, to submit requests to the ISSS team, access forms and monitor the status of your requests.
