Office of Health Promotion

The Office of Health Promotion offers a wide range of comprehensive prevention approaches and education programming focused on mental health & well-being, suicide prevention, violence prevention, alcohol & drug awareness, hazing prevention, and sexual health education.

Our mission is to cultivate a safe and healthy campus environment where the community can thrive. We prioritize trauma-informed practices, ensuring that our prevention efforts are grounded in the real-life experiences of our students. By focusing on reducing harm and fostering resilience, we empower individuals to flourish and contribute to a supportive atmosphere for all.

What We Do

Educate

We educate to help foster a supportive campus community by empowering individuals with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to prevent harm and increase help-seeking behaviors.

Empower

We empower the OHIO community to thrive. We emphasize trauma-informed practices that acknowledge students' lived experiences while also helping to build student strengths and support their overall well-being.

Elevate

We aim to make students feel safe and connected where they can build resilience to grow and thrive. We cultivate trust-building environments that empower students to elevate their well-being, fostering a sense of belonging, purpose and connection.
