Grant Consulting
The Heritage College Office of Research and Grants has contracted with a grant development firm to provide grant consultant services to Heritage College faculty. Through their review process, grant consultants provide key insights into funder priorities and recommendations for improvement, increasing the competitiveness of grant proposals to federal, state, foundation and corporate sponsors.
Data Management Plans (DMPs)
Many federal funders, including the NIH and NSF, require all submitted grants to include a Data Management Plan (DMP). Additionally, all federal agencies require data from federally funded research to be publically accessible at the time of publication. University Libraries provides an overview of DMPs, information on DMP expectations for specific funders, and a three-part Research Data Management Guide. The Guide also includes information from OIT on properly securing data and DMP templates and guidelines. Ohio University researchers can use DMPTool, a free online platform, to create, modify, and save DMPs for their research projects.
Office of Sponsored Programs
The Ohio University Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) supports faculty, staff, and students in their efforts to seek, secure, and manage extramural funding in the most accurate and efficient manner. OSP is responsible for endorsing all proposals submitted to external agencies by the Ohio University community. ORSP staff aid in proposal development and award negotiation, ensuring alignment with sponsor guidelines and university, state, and federal policies.
