Whether you’re arriving on campus, moving out, or ready to head home for the break period, we want to make your arrival and departure experience as simple as possible. Please monitor this page throughout the year as linked updates will be provided within a few weeks prior to each period. That link will contain information on applications, check-in or check-out hours, any additional costs associated, mail services, food services, etc. to make sure you have all the information you need!
Please be aware that over the course of the academic year and in the summer there are multiple weeks where meal plans are adjusted and prorated due to breaks and hall closures. All information about meal plan periods and prorations can be found on Culinary's website.

All university residence halls will close for the spring 2026 semester on May 1. Students should vacate their rooms within 24 hours of their last exam or by 8 p.m. on Friday, May 1; whichever comes first.

Temporary housing is available for students after the spring 2026 semester close. Students may be required to move from their spring assignments if their hall is not being utilized for May break housing. A supplemental application is required to sign-up and students will be responsible for additional housing costs. Please be aware that on campus services may be limited or unavailable during this break period.

Please be aware the above dates reflect when the summer residence hall(s) open and close for summer housing, not the first and last day of any scheduled classes for those sessions.
Summer school housing is available for registered on-campus students during this time frame. A supplemental contract is required and additional charges for housing and dining will apply.

Fall early arrival is available to students who need to arrive before the traditional fall move in due to assisting with fall opening activities and employment. A supplemental application is required, and additional housing/dining costs are associated with approved early arrivals.

All university residence halls will remain open through the 2026 Thanksgiving Break, without charge, from November 25 - November 29 for residents who choose to remain on campus. Please be aware that on campus services may be limited or unavailable during this break period.

Unless signed up for a fall one-night extension and/or winter break housing, students should vacate their rooms within 24 hours of their last exam or by 8 p.m. on Friday, December 11. All university residence halls will be closed during the 2026-27 winter break (December 12-January 8) for residents not signed up for winter break housing.

Winter break housing is available for on-campus students during this time frame. A supplemental application is required, and additional housing costs are associated with approved winter break contracts. Please be aware that on campus services may be limited or unavailable during this break period.
Winter break housing will be offered in designated open halls. Students who need to remain on campus but do not live in one of these halls will be assigned a temporary space for the duration of the break.

Unless signed-up for 2026-27 winter break housing, all university residence halls will open for the spring semester in January. New on-campus students for spring 2027 will check-in January 7 and 8 and returning students will be able to return on January 9 and 10.
