Purchasing Department hosts third annual Supplier Fair
Ohio University faculty and staff turned out to rock around the clock at the “Fabulous 50s” themed Supplier Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018. The Purchasing Department hosted their third annual Supplier Fair in the Baker University Center Ballroom. 445 attendees had the opportunity to meet and learn more about some of Ohio University’s preferred suppliers. 64 vendors, including 12 representing Ohio University and 52 external vendors, were on hand to share information with OHIO faculty and staff about the goods and services they provide. Vendors present included Christopherson Business Travel, Ohio University Inn, Lakefront Lines, VWR, Office Depot, InGenesis, and more. Attendees enjoyed refreshments, giveaways, and appearances by Rufus the Bobcat and The King himself.
61 OHIO employees won raffle items ranging from gift cards and apparel to airline tickets. A list of raffle winners can be found on the Finance website. Congratulations to Kathleen Robey for winning two roundtrip domestic airline tickets!
“We thank all the vendors for participating and all who attended for taking advantage of the opportunity to connect with OHIO preferred suppliers,” said Diana McGrew, director of purchasing. “We were excited to welcome Christopherson Business Travel, who will be serving as our new travel services provider beginning in March.”
Purchasing provides expertise in sourcing and purchasing to OHIO faculty and staff, while helping to reduce risk and ensuring compliance with Ohio Revised Code, other statutes and University policies.
