Last Friday, we formally inducted the Heritage College Class of 2027 during our 2023 Convocation and White Coat Ceremony. I couldn’t be any more excited to welcome this talented group of students into the osteopathic medical profession!
Nagesh Rao, Ph.D., has decided to step down as chair of the Department of Social Medicine and return to full-time professorship within the department.
This past Saturday, 238 newly-minted Heritage College graduates set out into the world to make their mark as doctors of osteopathic medicine. Watching this exceptional group of compassionate caregivers cross the commencement stage fills me with a great degree of pride and hope for the future.
As Commencement approaches, we naturally tend to focus on our graduates' future medical practices.
Last Friday marked the first time that students from all three Heritage College campuses gathered in-person for a single college-wide Match Celebration. As you can see from the video below, it was a moving and memorable experience for all involved.
Thanks to all who came out for today’s State of the College presentation!
Dear students and colleagues,
Dear Heritage College students, faculty and staff,
Carole Merckle, M.S.N., R.N., clearly remembers the day that the Heritage College tagline—Care Leads Here—was announced. "That was our department... that's what we're here for," she reflected. It was a moment of validation.
