Finance Year-End Calendar Updated

As fiscal year-end close gradually approaches, Finance Year-End Calendar has been updated and is now available for campus reference.

The year-end calendar outlines important deadlines related to financial transactions, including purchasing, accounts payable, expense submissions, journal entries, deposits, and other activities that must be completed before the close of the fiscal year. These deadlines help ensure that all financial activity is properly recorded in the correct fiscal year and that the university can complete its financial reporting accurately and on time.

Although year-end may still seem several months away, and key deadlines have remained similar to prior years, some may occur earlier. Planning ahead and reviewing the calendar now can help departments avoid last-minute issues and ensure that purchases, reimbursements, and other transactions are processed smoothly.

CFAOs and department heads are encouraged to take a few minutes to review the updated calendar and share it with staff who are responsible for financial transactions. Becoming familiar with the upcoming deadlines now will make the year-end process much easier as we move closer to closing the books on the current fiscal year.

The Finance team will continue to provide reminders and guidance in the coming months to help support departments through the year-end process.
