For purposes of the major, History courses are arranged by subject area and time classification. As of the 2010 catalog year, majors will take two 100 level surveys, the 200-201 U.S. survey, and must make sure they have taken a class from the below list in pre-modern, early modern, and modern history as well as one course in European, North American, and World history. One class can count for both the chronological and geographic distribution.
- Pre-Modern History Courses
- Early Modern History Courses
- Modern History Courses
