Spring Semester Housing Move-In Information

Whether you're a returning student or a new student, we can't wait to welcome you back to campus for spring semester!

On this page, you'll notice we've broken some information areas down for returning and new students to help your make your transition as seamless as possible.

Note: The information on this page is for the 2025-2026 academic year. Updated information for the following year will be available in November 2026.

Residence Hall Information & Dates

Click the tab that pertains to your status as a new or returning student to learn your spring arrival time and where to check in.

Residence Hall Check-In

Students who were residents on campus for the previous fall semester do not need to check in with in-hall staff upon their return.

Move-In Dates

Students who were residents on campus for the previous fall semester can return to campus on Saturday, January 10 and Sunday, January 11.

Residence Hall Check-In

Students who are newly assigned to on campus housing will check in at their respective staff office. Most residence halls report to the staff office of the building to which they are assigned. The exceptions to this are listed below:

Move-In Dates

Students who are new to on campus housing for the spring semester, and did not reside on campus for the fall semester, are able to check in to their assignment on Thursday, January 8 or Friday, January 9 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Housing Application

    Students must have completed a housing contract for the upcoming year to receive specific move-in instructions.

    If you are no longer able to attend OHIO for the upcoming semester, review our process on how to cancel the housing contract.

  • Cost

    There are no additional housing charges for spring move in outside what is assessed for spring semester housing. 

Food Service and Options

The first meal served on the spring 2026 semester meal plan will be brunch on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Review Culinary Services' website for more information on dining hall hours of operation and meal plan periods and meal prorations.

Spring Semester Resources

  • Transportation and Parking


    Visit the Transportation and Parking website to learn about available lots and lot closures.

  • Mail


    You are able to mail letters and packages to your campus address. Please time your shipments so that they correspond with your arrival to campus. Items will be shipped to your respective green mail center.

Additional Information & Reminders

  • Prior to returning to campus, students should review the Student Housing Handbook to ensure they are not packing any prohibited items and are aware of all hall policies. 
  • Returning students: Don't forget to bring your OHIO ID and room key(s) with you when you return to campus!
