Thank you for considering a gift to the Psychology Department. The department’s current priorities include:

- Provides broad support for the department’s most pressing needs.
Psychology Research and Teaching Endowment
- Endowment that supports scholarships, travel, research awards, departmental colloquia, and other needs of the department.
Graduate Student Support
Graduate Student Research and Travel Endowment
- Provides funding to graduate students in the Psychology department.
Jane Zartman Woodrow Scholarship
- Supports graduate students interested in pursuing a career in clinical practice.
Kenneth A. Holroyd Student Relocation Stipend
- Stipend supplement to assist Clinical Psychology students with expenses related to relocating to Athens, OH.
William U. Snyder Memorial Scholarship
- Scholarship for graduate students in the Clinical Psychology program.
William C. Byham Industrial/Organizational Psychology Graduate Student Support Fund
- Provides funding to graduate students majoring in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Mary & Harold K. Edwards, Sr, Graduate Student Travel Fund in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
- Provides travel funds for students pursuing a doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Undergraduate Student Awards and Scholarships
Gary M. and Kathleen S. Schumacher Undergraduate Psychology Scholarship
- Scholarship for sophomores or juniors majoring in Psychology.
The David Kucharski Memorial Graduating Senior Award
- Defrays the cost of applying to graduate schools for graduating seniors.
The Gaige B. Paulsen Endowed Scholarship Fund
- Scholarship for undergraduate Psychology majors.
The Gary M. and Kathleen S. Schumacher Freshman Psychology Scholarship
- Scholarship for incoming first-year students majoring in Psychology.
The Marlene and James Bruning Scholarship Fund for Undergraduate Psychology Students
- Scholarship for full-time students at the Athens or regional campuses majoring in Psychology.
Faculty Support
The Ann Dilley White Professorship in Positive Psychology
- Provides funding to a tenure-track professor producing research related to positive psychology.
William C. Byham Chair in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
- Provides funding to a Psychology professor who has demonstrated outstanding merit in their instruction and research of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Research Funds
Psychology Department Research Fund
- Provides funding for research in the Psychology department.
Center for Adolescent Research in Schools Fund
- Provides support for the Adolescent Research in Schools program.
Center for Intervention Research in Schools CIRS Support Fund
- Supports the department’s Center for Intervention Research on Schools, which focuses on helping children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems.
