Redesigned IT Security website unveils new resources for faculty, staff, researchers, and students
Last week, OIT's Information Security Office unveiled a top-to-bottom redo of the University's IT Security website that will make it significantly easier for OHIO faculty, staff, and students to find the resources they need to protect University and personal data. Coordinated by IT Security Analyst Brooke Denney, the revamp features:
- Updated left and top menu structures to help visitors find what they need
- A new layout that calls attention to important content and adds visual appeal
- Audience-based landing pages with customized topics for students, faculty/staff, and researchers
- A guide to storing data by type, including a searchable/sortable version that cross references acceptable storage technologies.
In addition to the new resources on the security website, faculty, staff, and researchers who need help or advice can schedule a free one-on-one consultation with an OIT security analyst. Topics can be customized to each individual's need - from advice on traveling internationally to implementing appropriate protections for sensitive data.
