Individual NAS folders

Solution Description:  Secure, high speed, on-campus Network Attached Storage (NAS) that can be mapped to a Windows network drive, mounted on a Mac via Command-K, or accessed from off campus via VPN. Default quotas for individuals on home.ohio.edu are 20 GB. The Home section is private for each user, and the Shared Network folder is accessible by defined groups.

Data Types NOT Permitted: 

• Attorney-Client Privileged Information (ACP)
• Export Controlled Research (ITAR/EAR)
• Federal Information Security Management Act Data (FISMA)
• Payment Card Industry Information (PCI)

Data Types Requiring Consultation:

• Identifiable Human Subject Research
• IT Security Information
• Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Social Security Numbers (SSN)
• Student Education Records (FERPA)
• Student Loan Application Information

Acceptable Data Types:

• None
