Join us July 16 to 20 for Back on the Bricks, an immersive on-campus experience created to bring Bobcats together for a weekend of celebration, connection, and nostalgia. Did we mention it’s happening during Brew Week too? From guided tours and casual social events to recreational activities and new campus highlights, this is your chance to relive your OHIO days and make new memories.
Stay on Campus: Make It a True Bobcat Getaway
There’s no better way to immerse yourself in the Back on the Bricks experience than by staying right on campus. Choose to stay in a modern suite-style residence hall—just steps away from many weekend events. Each suite includes two private rooms joined by a shared bathroom, making it perfect for solo guests or roommates looking to relive the residence hall experience with extra comfort.
Staying on campus means more time to reconnect, explore, and enjoy every moment without having to travel back and forth. Whether you’re up early for golf, enjoying all that Brew Week has to offer, winding down from catching up with Bobcats uptown, or just enjoying the walkable charm of Athens, your home base will be right where the action is.
Optional Activities: Customize Your Weekend
Back on the Bricks is all about celebrating your time at OHIO your way. During registration you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your experience with a variety of optional activities that let you reconnect, explore, and have fun at your own pace. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or a walk down memory lane, there’s something for everyone.
Build a weekend that’s as active or laid-back as you like. Mingle with fellow Bobcats at our Alumni reception, let us take you out to the ballgame with the Copperheads, or revisit your favorite campus spots on a guided tour. Every activity is designed to help you reconnect with your Bobcat roots and create meaningful new memories.
Choose as many (or as few) as you’d like—just be sure to reserve your spots when registering, as some events have limited capacity.

Reception with OUAA
Friday, July 17 | 4-6 p.m. | Living Learning Center
Join us for a lively evening, hosted by the Ohio University Alumni Association! This reception is the perfect chance to reconnect, reminisce, and relax with fellow Bobcats. Your registration includes tasty appetizers, drink tickets, and some exclusive OHIO swag—because no Bobcat gathering is complete without a little green and white pride. Cheers to good friends, great memories, and a night to remember!
This event is $30 per person and there is a limit of 50 available spaces for the event.
Copperheads Game
Friday, July 17 | 7:05 p.m. | Bob Wren Stadium
Spend your Friday night under the lights cheering on the hometown team, the Southern Ohio Copperheads versus the Grand Lake Mariners! Grab a seat, a hot dog, and soak up the summer vibes at this fun, family-friendly game right here in Athens. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of activities, reconnect with fellow Bobcats, and root-root-root for the home team!
This event is free and there is a limit of 50 available tickets for the event.
Saturday, July 18
Campus Tour
Saturday, July 18 | 3–5 p.m. | Starts at Living Learning Center
Take a guided stroll through campus and relive your Bobcat days! We’ll swing by your old residence hall (or where it once stood!), check out McDavis Hall—a brand-new 591-bed residence hall currently under construction and set to open next month in August and explore fresh additions like Paw Print Park on South Green, The East End on East Green, The Den on West Green, and more. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and new beginnings, and a great way to reconnect with your old home.

Ready to plan your perfect Bobcat weekend? Below you'll find a full breakdown of costs for housing/parking and all optional activities. You can mix and match to create the experience that fits your interests and schedule. Some events have limited capacity, so we encourage early registration to secure your spot. All selections and payments will be made through the registration link.
To be eligible for a refund, all changes, updates, or cancellation requests must be submitted by July 7.
Housing
Our rates place you in one of our newest residence halls in the heart of South Green, putting you directly on campus and an easy walk to Uptown. That means no need for Ubers and no searching for Uptown parking. Parking on campus is included, so you can arrive, park, and start enjoying your time without extra costs. Even better, our pricing comes in below hotels across town, which are currently ranging from $189 to $247 per night and are farther from the action. More tradition, more convenience, more value. That is a win for every Bobcat coming home.

To lock in Early Bird pricing, you will need to enter the designated promo code during registration within the Early Bird timeframe. Please note that promo codes cannot be combined or stacked with other offers.
Rate is per room, regardless of single or double occupancy. You can request adjoining rooms and must list all guests staying per room on the registration page. Check in and out on Thursday, July 16 through Saturday, July 18 will be 4-6 p.m. Check out on Sunday, July 19 or Monday, July 20 will be from 12-2 p.m.
Back on the Bricks+ Housing
Do you remember the residence hall you lived in during your first year on campus? Have you ever wanted to stay there again? We are excited to introduce the Back on the Bricks+ pilot experience, which gives alumni the opportunity to relieve the experience of living in the residence hall they once called home on campus.
Each summer, we will offer two classic-style buildings, alongside our suite style housing options, for individuals who have a strong affinity for a specific building. For summer 2026, Back on the Bricks+ housing will be in James and Tiffin Halls! Please note these are classic-style halls with community restrooms, not suite style that has an attached bathroom to the room. The rates for the Back on the Bricks+ experience follow the same rate structure as noted in the 'Housing' section above.
