Re-Enrolling Students

We're glad you're back! We've been saving your seat.

Any student, including Veterans and U.S. Armed Forces members*, may return to Ohio University at the same level and same academic program provided they have not been academically dismissed. If the academic program is no longer offered, Ohio University will work with you to select an alternate program.

Forever OHIO means we've been here for students since 1804 — and we're here for you today.

*A Veteran or U.S. Armed Forces member who may be temporarily unable to attend classes, or have to suspend their studies due to service requirements, may contact the Veterans and Military Student Services Center for assistance to work with faculty members within the current semester to decide the best course of action.

Resources After Re-Enrollment

Access Your Student Account

You will need access to your MyOHIO Student Center and Catmail for many essential tasks related to your re-enrollment. You may need to reset your password or reactivate your account. If you need additional help, visit the Office of Information Technology website or contact the OIT Service Desk at 740.593.1222.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To combat the ever-increasing cyber-attacks aimed at higher education, OIT now offers Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for students. This is an added verification step to your OHIO login, making it harder for a cybercriminal to use a lost or stolen password to access your account; keeping your personal and financial data protected. MFA will be required for all student accessing the MyOHIO Student Center; setting this up in advance could save some time when you need to register for classes.

Personal Information

Review your emergency contact, home and mailing addresses, and phone numbers in the MyOHIO Student Center to ensure the information is accurate.

Holds

You will register for classes by accessing MyOHIO Student Center using your OHIO ID and password. First, verify whether you have a priority registration advising hold by looking in the Holds box on the right of the screen. If you have this hold, your academic advisor, your regional campus student services office, or the office of Student Success at OHIO must release this hold before you can register for classes. For additional information regarding holds, contact the Office of the University Registrar by calling 740.593.4191, or Student Success at OHIO at 740.566.8888.

Enrollment Appointment Time

Your enrollment appointment time (the time you can begin registering for courses) can be found in the Enrollment Dates box in the MyOHIO Student Center. If no appointment time displays, then you are eligible to register after contacting your academic advisor.

If you do not want to remain in your current major, contact Re-enrollment Services for assistance.
