Ohio University's Fitness program is located in Ping Recreation Center and is available to university students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members who are Ping Recreation Center members. The Fitness program at Campus Recreation provides Group Fitness & F45 classes, Personal training, a variety of Fitness Programs, and Special Events!

Fitness Programming for Fall 2020
During phase 1 of re-opening, the Well-Being & Fitness program area plans to provide virtual group fitness classes, socially distanced outdoor group fitness classes (maximum of 9 participants total), online fitness coaching, virtual well-being coaching, and an online ACE preparation course.
Virtual Group Fitness Classes
Take part in virtual group fitness classes from the comfort of your home. Join our Group Fitness Instructors with the click of a button during the scheduled times! This schedule change on a monthly basis and will begin on August 31st.
Outdoor Group Fitness Classes
Participate in our outdoor group fitness classes, beginning August 31st on the Ping Center front lawn. These classes will be a part of the monthly rotating group fitness schedule. They will be socially distanced with a maximum number of 9 participants. Occurrence of the class may depend on weather. Participants who sign up for the class will be notified if classes cannot take place.
Online Fitness Coaching
Work with a Certified Personal Trainer to reach your health and fitness goals through this online fitness coaching service. This service includes a fitness assessment, personalized programming, and weekly check-ins with your Trainer.
A free virtual service offered by University Well-Being & Recreation that provides opportunities for you to BE ACTIVE, BE CONNECTED, and BE YOURSELF by gaining awareness about the life that you want to live both now, and in the future. Student Well-Being Coaching takes a positive approach to personal development, focusing on your strengths to create a realistic plan that brings you closer to your well-being goals.
ACE Prep Course
The ACE Prep Course course is intended to prepare students for either the Personal Training or Group Fitness Instructor exams through the American Council on Exercise. It is a 9-week online self-paced course that provides weekly webinars, quizzes, and study materials. Students who enroll in this course receive a discount on the ACE Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor exam.
