Golf Course and Driving Range

Notice: Beginning on November 22, the Ohio University Golf and Tennis Center will implement a seasonal closure. The golf course and outdoor tennis activities will resume on March 1. The Driving Range opening April 1, 2021.

COVID Operations and Protocol for the Ohio University Golf and Tennis Center

  • The Clubhouse will be CLOSED, except for use of the restrooms. Lockers and showers will be offline. Please note directional signage when entering the facility.
  • No restrooms will be available on the course
  • All transactions/sales will occur at the back window of the Clubhouse. Please access the back of the Clubhouse through the gate to the right of the facility.
  • No paper scorecards will be available. To use our virtual scorecard, download the "Golf GPS SwingU" App
  • Credit, debit or check only. No cash sales available. We recommend booking and paying for your tee times ahead of time at www.GolfNow.com.
  • Bunker rakes, water coolers, sand buckets and trashcans will be unavailable on the course. Large trashcans will be available at the clubhouse.
  • Only 4 people permitted on the putting-green at a time
  • No groups larger than 4-some 
  • Flags must remain in the cups
  • No concessions or rental equipment will be available 
  • Water fountains will be offline, but a bottle filler will be available
  • Masks must be worn on the indoor tennis courts
  • Tennis Court 1 will be dedicated to Pickleball. Outdoor Courts 9 & 10 are closed

The Ohio University Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 35 course that offers a practice putting green and pro-shop. Activities include golf tournaments, leagues and private lessons. The facility is open to OHIO students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community.


Rain Check Policy

For 9-hole play: If hole #7 has not been completed, then a 9-hole rain check will be issued. 

For 18-hole play: If hole #7 has not been completed, then an 18-hole rain check will be issued. If hole #7 has been completed, then a 9-hole rain check will be issued. 

All rain checks must be used within one (1) year from issue date. If a rain check is issued for play during the off-season (Thanksgiving Day to March 14), a player can only redeem their rain check round during the off-season. Should a player decide to redeem their rain check round in-season, they must pay the difference in greens fees and cart rental fees.
