Membership Purchasing and Renewal Methods

Campus Recreation has expanded its membership purchasing and renewal options. Patrons can now purchase or renew memberships one of three ways:

  1. In person at the Ping Center, Bird Arena, Aquatic Center, or Golf & Tennis Center front desk
  2. By phone- contact the service desk number at each Recreation Facility
    1. Ping Center: 740-593-9901
    2. Bird Arena: 740-593-4623
    3. Aquatic Center: 740-597-1367
    4. Golf & Tennis Center: 740-593-4669
  3. Online at DSE Dashboard (see directions below)*

How to Purchase a Membership Online (DSE Dashboard)

OHIO Students and Faculty/Staff

  1. Visit DSE Dashboard
  2. Log into your account- Click Log In in the upper right corner, and select University Account. Log in using your OU credentials
  3. Once you are logged in, select the Membership tile
  4. Select the membership plan you wish to sign up for
  5. Select your duration and start date
  6. Select “Next”
  7. Sign our Assumption of Risk by checking the box and clicking “Next”
    1. Your membership will be inactive until the Assumption of Risk is signed
  8. Select “Confirm”
  9. Select “Pay”
  10. You will be directed to Transact Payments where you can complete the purchase of your new membership

Community Members

  1. Visit DSE Dashboard
  2. Choose the Local account option
  3. If you need to create a new account- select "No account? Create one"
    1. Create your profile and log in credentials
  4. Once you are logged in, select the Membership tile
  5. Select the membership plan you wish to sign up for
  6. Select your duration and start date
  7. Select “Next”
  8. Sign our Assumption of Risk by checking the box and clicking “Next”
    1. Your membership will be inactive until the Assumption of Risk is signed
  9. Select “Confirm”
  10. Select “Pay”
  11. You will be directed to Transact Payments where you can complete the purchase of your new membership

How to Renew a Membership Online (DSE Dashboard)

  1. Visit DSE Dashboard
  2. Log in (Community members will utilize the local log in, school affiliated profile will utilize the University Account)
  3. Select your username in the top right corner and choose “Manage Account”
  4. On the left-hand side, select “Memberships”
  5. Determine which membership you would like to renew and select “Renew”
    1. If renew is not an option, then select the membership you wish to purchase and you can adjust your start date to avoid overlap or lapse in your membership. 
  6. Sign our Assumption of Risk by selecting each box, filling in the correct information and clicking “Save”
    1. Your membership will be inactive until the Assumption of Risk is signed
  7. Select “Sign Now”
  8. Select “Checkout”
  9. You will be directed to Transact Payments, where you can complete the purchase of your new membership

How to Install the DSE App on Phone 

Step 1: Download the DSE RecCenter app

  • On Apple devices (iPhone, iPad), download the app via the App Store (linked here).
  • On Android devices (Samsung, Google, Motorola), download the app via the Google Play store (linked here).

Step 2: Obtain your Activation Code

  • In a web browser, navigate to https://ohio.dserec.com/online/dashboard
  • Log into your account in OHIO’s DSERec platform using the email and password associated with your account.
    • Patrons with an OHIO email address will log in with a University account. All others will log in using a Local account.
  • Once logged in, navigate to “Mobile App” from the dashboard or the menu in the top right corner.
  • Select “Activate a New Device”. A screen with a School Code, Email, and Activation Code will open.

Step 3: Activate the DSE RecCenter app

  • Open the DSE RecCenter app and enter the School Code, Email Address, and Activation Code into the app.
    • School Code: ohio
    • Email Address: Email address associated with your OHIO DSERec account
    • Activation Code: Unique to you
  • Your app is now activated and can be used to gain access to facilities using the Barcode ID in the bottom right corner.
