Osteopathic Medicine for All - CME/GME

OMA Course Format and Information

Osteopathic Medicine for All (OMA) is a dynamic, hands-on learning experience offered annually for D.O. and M.D. residents, along with their faculty and preceptors in Osteopathic Recognized programs. This course empowers participants to confidently integrate Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) and Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) into clinical training while strengthening their ability to teach, precept, and evaluate learners.

Through a collaborative environment, participants not only build practical skills but also engage in meaningful exchange of experiences and approaches—making it a valuable opportunity for both professional growth and faculty development. The course follows a blended format that maximizes both flexibility and in-person skill-building.

Participants begin with engaging pre-recorded lectures and brief assessments, completed in advance. These materials —available for download—will need to be completed by Wednesday before the live course to ensure readiness for the live experience. These foundational materials prepare learners for immersive, in-person OMM lab sessions held on the Dublin campus. There, the emphasis is on practicing hands-on patient application techniques with partners, rather than reviewing lectures–it is expected that participants will be both learning in the role of 'physician' and also serving in the role as 'patient' for their co-participants during this course. If you require medical, religious, or cultural accommodations, please let us know in advance of the course so we can support your participation. This intentional structure ensures that every moment of in-person time is dedicated to refining technique, deepening understanding, and building confidence in real-world practice.
