Health Care for Students
We are committed to offering organizations that maintain an active involvement on our campus and promote the values of osteopathic medicine on the national level.
Cleveland Community Outreach
Public service is part of our mission, and the Cleveland campus will focus on community outreach efforts in northeast Ohio. Cleveland campus students, faculty and staff have many opportunities to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families living in our local communities.
Cleveland campus students also have the opportunity to participate in the T.O.U.C.H. program. Heritage College students must enroll in the T.O.U.C.H. program and can earn their volunteer hours through services offered through the college’s Community Health Programs and community partners in Athens, Columbus and Cleveland. Cleveland students can find out more about local organizations looking for volunteers at this link.
Fitness and Recreation Opportunities
On-campus students can benefit from three exercise (gym) spaces located on the 3rd floor. These spaces offer a variety of free weights, treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines and yoga equipment. Also offered on campus are Xbox and PlayStation gaming systems as well as a Ping Pong table.
Life Time Fitness
Students on the Cleveland campus have an opportunity to participate in a membership to Life Time Fitness in Beachwood, OH. Located minutes from the Ohio University Cleveland campus, this membership allows students access to group exercise classes, open swim and pool use, basketball courts and much more.
Intramural Sports Leagues
The Cleveland campus works with many area providers to explore opportunities for intramural leagues. We look forward to many opportunities for our year 1 and year 2 students to play together or against each other.
