Room Type Descriptions
Choosing the right residence hall starts with understanding the room styles available on campus and how each one supports the way you live, study, and connect. Our housing options range from classic halls with a traditional community atmosphere to modern suite-style spaces that offer enhanced comfort and privacy. Each style comes with its own layout, amenities, and overall experience, which can also affect the cost of living on campus. As you explore the classic, contemporary, suite, and apartment options below, consider both the features you value and the budget that works best for you. With the right information, you can find a space that feels like home and supports your personal and academic success.
Classic residence halls provide a traditional college living experience defined by communal bathrooms located on each floor. Rooms may have window A/C units instead of central HVAC. These halls offer a community-focused environment with a classic campus atmosphere.

Suite-style rooms provide added privacy with single-user bathrooms that are directly connected to the living space. In most configurations, two rooms share a bathroom between them. These spaces also typically include drywall construction, central HVAC, and modern finishes for a more independent residential experience.
McDavis Hall suites are built with modern layouts, upgraded amenities, and central HVAC. The key difference is that the bathrooms are not connected directly to student rooms. Instead, each floor features single-user bathrooms that provide increased privacy. This style offers a balance of community, convenience, comfort, and personal space.

Meal Plan Descriptions
Choosing the right meal plan starts with understanding the dining options available on campus and how each one fits your lifestyle, schedule, and eating habits. Each plan type, including Traditional, Flex, Block, Block+, and Destination Dining, comes with its own balance of meals, dining dollars, and access to campus locations, which can also impact overall cost and convenience. As you explore the options below, consider how often you plan to dine on campus, your daily routine, and the budget that works best for you.
