About the Center for Law, Justice & Culture
The Center for Law, Justice & Culture at Ohio University is an interdisciplinary academic community dedicated to advancing scholarship and teaching by integrating programs and uniting faculty and students who share a common interest in law's constitutive and formative role in cultural, political, and social life.
For faculty, the center advances research excellence by fostering collaboration, grant acquisition, mentorship, and professional relationships with national leaders in the field.
For students, the center provides opportunities to study law and justice from a liberal arts perspective, bringing together interdisciplinary viewpoints from anthropology, criminology, political science, sociology, and other departments across the social sciences and humanities.

Summer Law & Trial Institute
The institute is a free program for high-achieving, rising high school juniors and seniors. You'll gain exposure to the criminal justice system and to law and justice issues relevant to Southeast Ohio, especially access to justice.

Wrongful Conviction Day
Wrongful Conviction Day is held each fall, hosted by the Ohio Innocence Project, OIPU (Ohio Innocence Project University chapter) and the CLJC, featuring guest speakers who share their experiences surrounding wrongful conviction.
