Islamic Studies Undergraduate Certificate
The Islamic Studies undergraduate certificate enables motivated students to gain knowledge of the Islamic religion and the diverse cultures and societies that it has influenced. It provides a curricular framework that integrates the study of Islam and Muslim cultures and subcultures.

Admission to the Certificate
Curriculum
The Islamic Studies undergraduate certificate requires a minimum of 15 credit hours, plus 16 hours from the language requirement. Students complete core requirement courses before selecting a historical concentration in the Middle East, Africa or Southeast Asia. Additionally, students select at least one elective from from a wide array of courses.
Career Opportunities
The certificate would help students in world religions, international studies, history, geography, political science, etc. enter graduate programs or careers connected with the Near East, Africa, and South and Southeast Asia.
