Fall 2019 Sustainable Administration Hub Seminar
Fall 2019 Sustainable Administration Hub Seminar
Dr. Ryan Fogt, the OHIO Sustainable Administration Hub Coordinator, will kick off the fall Sustainability Hub Seminar Series on Wednesday September 4th at 5pm in Baker Center’s Front Room. This semester the Seminar Series will be held on September 4th, October 3rd and November 6th at 5pm in the Front Room.
Fogt, Associate Professor of Geography and Director of OHIO’s Scalia Lab, will present “Sustainability: A challenge of and solution to global climate change” and information will be provided on the OHIO Climate and Sustainability Ambassador Program.
The Climate and Sustainability Ambassadors, a group within the Sustainable Administration Hub, strives to provide a local effort to strengthen climate change literacy and action on sustainability. Ambassadors are advocates for the Office of Sustainability and participate in outreach and education on aspects of sustainability, especially climate change, on campus and in the community.
The Program provides opportunities for students to collaborate with others passionate about sustainability and climate literacy, to partner with local schools to further climate change education, and to help OHIO reach goals in the Ohio University Sustainability and Climate Action Plans.
Students interested in the CSAP can apply for the program here.
As one of three faculty coordinators working with OHIO’s new sustainability structure, Fogt’s Hub focuses on sustainability initiatives connected to the themes of Climate, Procurement, Human Resources and Investments.
