Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality Survey Answers

Thank you for taking the Carbon Neutrality and Sustainability Literacy Survey!

As a STARS* reporting institution, Ohio University is required to survey its campus community annually to track literacy rates as they relate to issues of sustainability and carbon neutrality. The responses are utilized to assist us in determining future outreach needs of the institution. While some of the questions on this survey request your subjective response, several of them do utilize scientific research. The answers to those questions are offered below for your reference.

Carbon Neutral Survey Answers

    • Answer: Nitrogen is the most common gas in the Earth's atmosphere, comprising nearly 80%.
  2. Which of these is not a greenhouse gas: Carbon dioxide, Nitrogen, Water Vapor.
    • Answer: Nitrogen is not a greenhouse gas
  3. According to NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, what is the hottest year on record?
    • Answer: 2020 (tied with 2016).
