Outdoor Pursuits Equipment Rentals
Get the quality, brand-name gear you need for adventures from our rental center! Our massive inventory of outdoor equipment includes everything from backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags to canoes and crash pads. Plus, we'll teach you how to use any items you rent so you feel confident whether you're camping, climbing, or cruising down the river.

NEW! Mountain Bike Rentals
Outdoor Pursuits has partnered with the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA) in order to provide OHIO students, community members, and visitors with quality mountain bike rentals beginning Feb. 5th, 2024. Pricing information below.
These bikes are perfect for riding:
- Around campus
- On the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway
- On the trails at Strouds Run and Lake Hope State Parks
- On the Bailey's Trail System (closed to bikes for the Winter)
If you're hoping to ride the Bailey's Trail System but don't have a bike rack, bike rentals are also available for pick-up in Chancy where you can ride directly from the rental store to the trails in less than a mile. Visit https://baileystrailsystem.org/bike-rentals/ for more information.

* In order to receive the student & community member pricing, students must present a valid student ID and community members must provide proof of address. Community members constitutes residents of Athens, Morgan, Washington, Meigs, Vinton, Hocking, and Perry counties.
