Professional Development Helps OHIO Achieve Excellence…

“Ohio University will be the nation’s best transformative learning community where students realize their potential, faculty advance knowledge, staff achieve excellence, and alumni become global leaders.”
- Ohio University Vision Statement

In support of our vision, and to support each employee’s pursuit of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth, Ohio University has developed a comprehensive framework for professional development called Professional Development Pathways.

Professional Development Pathways provides tools, guidance, and learning opportunities for employees and supervisors who want to invest in talent development and career growth. Through this program, competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors) required for success are clearly defined, specially-designed training and certificate programs add structure and excitement to the development journey, and meaningful development discussions and on-the-job learning experiences are encouraged.

Certificates encourage, guide, and recognize development of skills that are important to employees in a wide variety of positions. Completion of assigned learning experiences is rewarded with badges; specified collections of badges lead to certificates.

Professional Development Pathways connects employees to a variety of classroom and e-learning courses to support professional development. Click below to view, search, and register for certificate and non-certificate courses that are currently available.
