Active Seniors

At WellWorks, we cater to a diverse set of populations. Through our Active Seniors program, we've developed a series of classes and a community of support aimed at maintaining and improving strength, balance and flexibility. The Active Senior classes are open to anyone with a WellWorks membership, regardless of age or membership type. 

SilverSneakers(R)

WellWorks is part of the SilverSneakers(R) program.  The Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness program is an insurance benefit included in more than 65 Medicare health  plans. You can determine if you’re eligible for SilverSneakers by visiting their website or contacting customer service (888-423-4632). If you’re eligible, you’ll be given a 16-digit Healthways/Prime member number. Bring that number into WellWorks and we can set-up a SilverSneakers membership for you. Eligibility begins at age 65.  

Group Fitness 

Our Active Senior class schedule has been carefully created to help improve balance, strength, agility and flexibility. All classes are taught by Josh Christen, Exercise Physiologist, who offers modifications to meet the needs of a wide variety of participants. WellWorks members enjoy the benefit of unlimited group fitness classes, including those on our Regular and Active Senior schedules. All of our Active Senior classes are available to ALL members. You do not need to be a SilverSneakers participant to attend these classes. 

The current Active Senior schedule is provided below. Classes change occasionally, so check back often! 

Class Schedule, June 24 - August 16:
No classes May 25 - June 23 

Mondays:
9:30 a.m - 10:15 a.m. Core and Balance
10:20 a.m. - 11:05 a.m. Chair Strength

Tuesdays: 
2:00 p.m. - 2:55 p.m. Tai Chi for Arthritis Part One
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Chair Yoga

Wednesdays: 
9:30 a.m - 10:15 a.m. Core and Balance
10:20 a.m. - 11:05 a.m. Chair Strength

Thursdays: 
9:30 a.m. - 10:25 a.m. Tai Chi for Arthritis Part One
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Tai Chi for Arthritis Part Two

Fridays:
9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Chair Strength
10:30 a.m. - 11:05 a.m. Stair Strength and Endurance
