Sib’s Weekend Transportation & Parking Information- February 2-4, 2024
We would like to welcome all Bobcat family members planning to visit the Ohio University campus for Sib’s Weekend. Please see below for information about parking and transportation accommodations available during your stay.
Available Parking
Beginning Friday, February 2, 2024 at 12PM all dark green and purple parking lots will be open and available for guest parking, parking lots that are scheduled for closure to support campus events will not be available during this time (see campus lot closure information below). These parking areas will remain open until the end of the day Sunday, February 4, 2024. All fees must be paid when utilizing a campus meter or hourly location. Please ensure vehicles are not parked within the grass, or other non-parking or restricted parking areas.
Campus Lot Closures
The following lot closures will be in place beginning Friday, February 2, 2024. Please carefully review the information below, and watch for campus signage placed within parking lots to alert drivers of closure areas/times.
- The Convocation Center Parking Lots 127/128 and Lot 111 near Stocker Center will close on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 7PM to support weekend athletic events. Vehicles arriving to campus for parking after 7PM on Friday, February 2, 2024, should find alternate parking in any other campus dark green and purple parking lots.
- The Convocation Center Parking Garage Lot 129 will close on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11PM to support the security of weekend athletic events. Any vehicles parked in the area at this time are subject to citation and relocation fees.
Athletic Event Parking
On Saturday, February 3, 2024, several core campus parking lots near the Convocation Center will convert into game day parking in support of the OHIO vs. Miami home Basketball game. Guest arriving and parking after 10am on Saturday may be subject to game day parking fees. The following lots will be converted to Donor Parking areas that require a specialized permit: Convocation Center Lots 127/128 and Stocker Center Lot 111.
Transportation Options
- CATS Late Night is a door-to-door service available Friday from 5:30PM – 11:00PM as well as Saturday and Sunday from 6:00PM – 11:00PM. We encourage students/faculty/staff to schedule reservations in advance using the TripShot app.
- Athens Public Transit is available to many campus and Athens area locations with service hours Monday through Friday 7:00AM – 8:00PM, with no service on Saturdays and Sundays. Ride fares start at $1, and students ride for free with their OHIO ID. For a full listing of routes visit the APT website or call 740-592-2727.
- Daily Campus Shuttles are available Friday from 7:00AM – 5:30PM and service main campus buildings including the Ridges and various parking locations. Download the TripShot app for live bus tracking.
