Reconnect with community advocate Carole Merckle

Carole Merckle, M.S.N., R.N., clearly remembers the day that the Heritage College tagline—Care Leads Here—was announced. "That was our department... that's what we're here for," she reflected. It was a moment of validation. Carole was right where she needed to be to carry out the work she loves: addressing unmet healthcare needs in her community. 

As director of clinical programs for the college's Community Health Programs, Carole oversees a small but mighty 10-member team, whose outreach and care is transforming the health of our communities, one patient at a time.

Throughout the Heritage College's evolution, our commitment to care has been a constant. By filling critical gaps in healthcare and supporting wellbeing across underserved regions of the state, our Community Health Programs are constantly moving the needle toward our vision of a healthier Ohio.
