HCOM celebrates 2021 Points of Pride

October 19, 2021

Points of Pride is an annual Heritage College tradition during which we celebrate the achievements of the past year. Although we were not able to gather in person this year, during our virtual meeting, we highlighted a handful of broad achievements that were organized according to the college's strategic priorities. If you missed the virtual meeting, a video is available to watch online.

Event themes and links to the videos shared during the Points of Pride Celebration are below. As you can see, we have a lot to celebrate!

ALL CAMPUS SUCCESS: We now have facilities on all three of our campuses that help us stay on the leading-edge of physician training across the state of Ohio. For more information, check out our Heritage Hall hype video and the Heritage Hall ribbon cutting video

COMMUNITY IMPACT: The Heritage College has always dedicated itself to improving the health of our communities. This past year, we took our community service to another level by contributing to the state's COVID-19 vaccination efforts. DYNAMIC PARTNERSHIPSWe have a statewide footprint and are positioned to impact the health and wellbeing of communities across Ohio. The partnerships we build and maintain are a critical part of ensuring the future success of our students and college.

TRANSFORMATIVE EDUCATION: Last year, our first Transformative Care Continuum students graduated. This year, we are celebrating another curricular milestone as all four classes of students are immersed in the Pathways to Health and Wellness Curriculum. COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITY: Against all odds during a global pandemic, researchers at the Heritage College have achieved a record number of awards and research funding. Today, we are one of the top-3 NIH-funded osteopathic medical schools in the nation. Click here for 2021 research highlights.
