1,000+ pounds and 1,000+ dollars for #HungerActionMonth
Dear Heritage College community,
Earlier this month, I challenged you to help alleviate food insecurity in our communities by taking part in Heritage College Stock the Pantry events. Our last fundraising event concluded this week, and I couldn’t be more excited to share our collective results:
Together, our three campuses donated 1,109 pounds of food and raised $1,004 on behalf of local food pantries!
To the many students, faculty and staff who participated in this #HCOMmunityService opportunity: THANK YOU! The generosity of the Heritage College community never ceases to amaze me!
Sincerely,
Ken Johnson, D.O.
Chief Medical Affairs Officer, Ohio University, and
Executive Dean, Heritage College
The Athens campus collected 910 pounds of food for the Southeast Ohio Foodbank during a drive-through Stock the Pantry event.
The Dublin campus collected 199 pounds of food and $60 for the Dublin Food Pantry.
The Cleveland campus hosted a virtual food drive, which raised $944 for the Greater Cleveland Foodbank -- far surpassing the campus's $500 goal.
