Our Mission
The mission of the NSS-ACOOG is to: Familiarize and educate osteopathic medical students about the mission, vision and core values of the ACOOG Provide opportunities for fellowship among osteopathic medical students interested in osteopathic obstetrics and gynecology Educate osteopathic medical students of opportunities for postgraduate education and research in the field of women's health

Services Provided
What service does the organization provide to the community, the college and/or the osteopathic profession? Does the organization include philanthropic events? If so, please list them. The organization promotes women’s health education, community engagement, and professional development within the college and broader community. The club provides service opportunities focused on improving awareness of women’s health issues and supporting underserved populations through volunteer initiatives, donation drives, and educational outreach. The organization also contributes to the osteopathic profession by encouraging mentorship, research involvement, and early exposure to osteopathic obstetrics and gynecology. Members are provided opportunities to connect with physicians, residents, and alumni to strengthen professional development and career preparation. Philanthropic and fundraising initiatives may include: Women’s health awareness events Donation drives and community outreach initiatives Fundraisers supporting women’s health education and clinical training resources Collaborative volunteer events with local community organizations Educational workshops and advocacy initiatives related to women’s health
Tentative Schedule for 2026-2027
Fall:
- Monthly general body meetings featuring physician speakers, residency panels, and women's health topics Clinical skills workshops (e.g., ultrasound, labor and delivery procedures, simulation activities)
- Participation in the ACOOG Fall Conference and student leadership opportunities
Spring:
- Women's health advocacy and educational programming
- Collaborative events with organizations such as Women in Medicine and Anesthesia Club Residency, audition rotation, and career development workshops
- Community Service & Outreach Menstrual product drive and other women's health donation initiatives
- Volunteer opportunities with local maternal health and pregnancy support organizations
- Community education and outreach related to reproductive and women's health
